I met Tanesha when I was 35 weeks pregnant. With Tanesha’s assistance, I birthed my baby less than 2 weeks later. We were on a crunch for time because of how far in my pregnancy I was. But nonetheless, Tanesha maximized the time I had left antepartum and remained with me along my postpartum journey. She assisted in helping my husband and I create a birth plan that aligned with our goals and wishes. Tanesha advocated for me during the laboring process so that I could focus on my breathing and pushing techniques. In result, I was able to birth my firstborn daughter unmedicated and with minimal medical interventions. Tanesha also supported me in my postpartum journey by assisting with my breastfeeding needs, facilitating with my postpartum healing process and providing resources to a lactation consultant. She came right in the nick of time and I couldn’t have asked for a better doula.

Our experience with Nesha felt organic and genuine from the start. She showed great interest in getting to know me and my husband as individuals and as a couple before getting to know our goals as parents. She guided us in every decision making process, promoted agency, supported our birthing goals, and did everything with love and care. Nesha was our prenatal doula and I wish she was also our postpartum doula. But other moms-to-be needed her after we had our baby and I know she gave her all to them too. I miss talking to her and seeing her. She developed a relationship not only with me and my husband, but with the rest of our family on our delivery day. She made the whole experience less stressful and anxious. I could pick up the phone anytime and call her when I needed her advice or words of comfort. I’m so blessed that our baby boy had Nesha as his doula too, because she blessed him in ways that he doesn’t even know. It was an honor having her in the delivery room and her meeting our son the second he came into this world. It has never been this easy for me to write a review for someone. I mean every word too.
